I'll refrain from making this my third blog post in a row where I complain about snow and cold weather. I won't say a word about how we got MORE snow last night and how I'm sick of these frigid temperatures. Not a word…
Since I'm dreaming about green grass and flowers, I thought I would share some more pictures from our trip to the south last fall. We spent most of our time around the Savannah area but ventured to Charleston, SC for a couple days. Our first stop was to the Magnolia Plantation. We toured the house and then walked around the gardens. Everything was stunning. The history behind the piece of property is amazing. Some sections of the garden are 325 years old, and they opened them to the public in the 1870s.
You can check out their website here and read more about the history.
After we left the plantation we found a roadside stand selling boiled peanuts. What a yummy southern treat!

Two of our favorite places..gorgeous photos Emily!
February is a tough month, I am over it myself!
That is so pretty! I love the pictures - and the boiled peanuts look really interesting!
Sorry about all the snow. :(
I could seriously take up residence in that orange peanut trailer. Yum and fun.
Woah! How fun a trip was that and gorgoeus! Was that about 20,000 square feet of house!
I'm with you Emily! I think people here on Long Island were in good moods this week, because even though it is freezing, the sun has been out and we've had at least 5 days without snow! Woo Hoo! :)
Your pictures are just beautiful! So nice to see grass and flowers {and other colors besides white}. Thanks for sharing them!
Gorgeous photos! I lived in Savannah for 10 years and really miss the charm of that dear city. We're only a few hours away so we try to visit as often as possible. We made many trips to Charleston too. Beautiful place! Just found your lovely blog via My Romantic Home. I'm your newest follower and would be delighted to have you follow me back!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Beautiful photo's, we must add it to our wish list of trips. I am right there with you in not enjoying this snow and cold weather. We are looking forward to a little bit warmer temps next week. Who knew I would be excited to see a temp above 30 degrees :)

Fab photos! I am dreaming of spring too, this winter has been rough. It's amazing how warm it feels today and it's only 30 degrees. Hang in there... spring is right around the corner (cross your fingers!) xoxo
Oh what great pictures! They are just beautiful. We live in Tennessee so I know what you mean about being fed up with the snow and cold. Hurry Up Spring!!
What a gorgeous plantation. I'd love to tour those gardens some day. But you lost me at the boiled peanuts. Even though I'm from the south I can't stand the smell of them. lol!
