I did it. I finally used the spray paint that everyone in blogland has been talking about. I feel like I'm a real blogger now. :) And I'm pretty sure this won't be the last thing I paint with oil rubbed bronze spray paint.
I've had this vase set for years and it's been stashed away since we've been in our house. I love how it turned out and can't wait to fill it with my zinnias and cosmos that should be blooming soon!
Here's the before:

Well congratulations Miss Emily...you are now official, I will allow you in my Beta Shmata Gamma club now! Looks great....I always like your photo skills too.
That is so pretty! I wish I had more things to spray paint around my house.
Visiting form the Keep It Simple Party. You did a lovely job. I am so jealous -- can't seem to find ORB! My Home Depot on Cape Cod is a "boutique" store with limited products, and they acted like I was insane when I insisted that I only wanted oil rubbed bronze. They suggested I try the bigger stores...over the Cape Cod bridge and an hour away. I'll make the trip at some point, I'm sure!
A big"wave" from the Cape,

ORB or any color is addictive. I have been spray painting, too. I love your single flower vases and what wonderful photos.
Emily I almost forgot to mention....how could I forget? I have auditioned for the Oprah new show...the video is up on my blog now...and if you like it, you can vote for me:) IF Not poo poo on you...no just kidding...I won't know either way now will it? Enjoy!
I just used that Metallic Oil Rubbed Bronze on a project.. it's awesome stuff! Gotta love spray paint!

So very pretty! I believe you've seen my ORB spray painted drawer handles (used to be gaudy brass). What a difference it makes!
Was it worth the wait? I just love ORB spray paint. The way you arranged the flowers so simply is great. Less is definitely more.

ORB does make anything look great... those vases are so cute too.
Love it. Particularly like how you chose to use the hosta and leaves. Great piece!
I love the simplicity so it allows the flowers to be the showcase. Wonderful! Following thru SYSThursday. Pam @ Sallygoodin
I love the simple look of one flower in the vases. Looks like summer.
Love the vases...what a great display piece. The ORB spray paint is new to me...looks like something I need to try on our front porch lanterns. Thanks for sharing.
Those vases are so cute! Where did you get them? And your yard looks fantastic. Trying to get mine looking something close to that. ;)
