Tomatoes and Adobe

Here are my first ripe cherry tomatoes of the season.  Aren't they cute?!  More importantly, they are very tasty and have added a touch of summer goodness to several meals lately.  Have I mentioned recently how much I love summer?  Ahh, it's the best!

I am taking some Adobe classes this summer and I feel like my eyes are going to pop out of my head from staring at the computer so much.  I am taking Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.  There is so much to learn with each program and I'm blown away by the graphics that can be designed in Adobe.

I'm not even going to tell you how long this practice sheet took me to make!  It doesn't help that my computer isn't able to perform all the functions since apparently it's low on RAM.

I love the pictures! Those tomatoes look so yummy. :) And I know what you mean about Adobe - they're very cool - but complete computer hogs. haha.

Summer is the best! Your tomatoes look great. I have lots and lots of green tomatoes on my two plants but nothing is ripe yet. Hopefully soon! Hope you are having fun in your class.

Your tomatoes look great! I am dying for mine to ripen, but I am starting to get my squash, so maybe not too much longer.

Emily, your tomatoes look fantastic! I can't wait until I get some off of my plants - I have four. Although I'm glad I tried planting different vegetables, I think next summer I'm going to stick with the favorites (and tomatoes are definitely on the list).

Where are you taking the classes at? Online or at a local school?

I have all 3 programs at work! I use InDesign daily when I design ads for the newspaper (it's the updated version of Pagemaker and Quark Xpress, yes, I am that old.)

I use Photoshop too at work, but haven't had the time to figure out illustrator seeing as we pay for "AdBuilder" which gives us unlimited stock photos and graphics for a monthly fee.

At home I use Photoshop Elements and Paint.net to beef up photos and design blog buttons, etc.

Enjoy! I am going to a Photoshop workshop/conference in the fall for work. I hope to gain more insight there! :)

Your tomatoes just look wonderful. I have one that is starting to ripen now. They are the regular tomatoes and it seems I might get 20 out of 4 plants! I like cherry tomaties with a fresh green salad! yum!

Is it strange that I started following your blog because of your pictures of tomatoes?? And then today's post... more tomatoes! Love them. Really, I enjoy your substance, I just find the pictures lovely.

awww, so awesome you're taking design courses! i'm a graphic designer so i can definitely relate the the "eyes popping out of the head from starring at the computer" syndrome! oi! I took a web design class in college that was on monday from i think 5-9pm or something INSANE like that. by the end of the day i wanted to curl up in bed and never open my eyes again. BUT it's all worth it... the things you're able to create with the knowledge you gain in these classes will last a lifetime if you keep up with it! ;) Best of luck! You seem like quite the creative soul!

Great tomato pictures. We had RAM added to computer not to long ago. It was so worth the extra $60. We had a guy come to our house fix our computer (it wouldn't turn on) and add RAM and our total bill was $135. It might be worth looking into.
